Maths Skills for Science is a series of three books providing matched units of maths and science work. Each unit of work provides lesson plans and photocopiable pages to help the teacher to explain particular key maths skills and then deliver science investigations or experiments where those maths skills are needed. The maths work samples skills from across the curriculum, guided by the National Numeracy Strategy. The science work has been chosen to complement the requirements of the QCA 'Science Scheme of Work, but also includes units relevant to the Scottish 5-14 guidelines.

'Maths Skills for Science - Years 1 & 2' aims to provide parallel work for maths and science in Years 1 & 2. The book is organised to reflect the strands in the NNS. Key maths skills from the objectives for Years 1 & 2 are matched to science content needing those skills.

'Maths Skills for Science - Years 3 4' aims to provide parallel work for maths and science in Years 3 & 4. The book is organised to reflect the strands in the NNS. Key maths skills from the objectives for Years 3 & 4 are matched to science content needing those skills.

'Maths Skills for Science - Years 5 & 6' aims to provide parallel work for maths and science in Years 5 & 6. The book is organised to reflect the strands in the NNS. Key maths skills from the objectives for Years 5 & 6 are matched to science content needing those skills.
